The ‘Lankan-Aussie cousin of autumn pumpkin soup! This Village Style Pumpkin Curry is a flavourful dish, made with tender pieces of pumpkin simmered in a warming, spiced coconut milk sauce. It is the perfect warming curry for gloomy days. We recommend using Kent pumpkin for this dish — the peel is edible, which will save you prep time!

You may not know this, but pumpkin, called Wattakka in Sinhalese, and other gourds are commonly eaten in Sri Lanka. Just ask any Sri Lankan mum, it is a favourite veggie because of its health properties. We love Wattakka for its buttery, lightly sweet, and nutty taste.
