Sri Lankan Ingredient Highlight: Curry Leaf 🌿
We sometimes wonder what South Asian cooking would be like without the glorious Curry Leaf — because it’s that irreplaceable. Curry Leaf, or Kara-pincha, is a distinct, citrusy, slightly bitter herb. It’s a starting point for many South Indian dishes: toasted in sizzling vegetable oil, chopped onions, and a sprinkle of mustard seeds. You won’t miss the Wow Factor it adds to our Lentil Curry!
I had people over for lunch a few weeks ago and decided to cook Sri Lankan. I purchased a few of the Lentil packs and cooked it in pretty much 15 mins! It was delicious and just so flavoursome! My guests thought I was an amazing cook … 😉. Thank you Gedara and Co for the fabulous kits! Love them all!
I tried this lentil curry. I was sceptical as I’m not vegetarian, but it turned out to be delicious and simple to make. Highly recommended.
